Students often ask me why they have to learn spreadsheets! I tell them that a) they are part of the ICT GCSE course ... and b) if they have these skills and can set up a successful system to save their future bosses a lot of money, then they might even earn themselves a bonus! Of course, my students might even start their own businesses, in which case spreadsheet work may save a great deal of payment to an accountant!

[And when they become successful businessmen, they might just want to remember their teacher! ;-) ]
